Adam + Kayla are such a fun and unique couple. Both enjoy many different fandoms, Kayla writes a webcomic, and they both bring out the most interesting and very best sides of each other. I love the way they support and encourage one another and that Adam actually came to and participated in all of my meetings with Kayla. Talking with the two of them is always enjoyable, and often the three of us would end up laughing at least at much as we spent getting things done, and I was beyond thrilled when they said they wanted to have a Lord of the Rings inspired wedding. (Which I am definitely not a nerd about at all... *ahem*) It was so fun to brainstorm and discover different ways to bring a Lord of the Rings flavor to a wedding without it scaring away all of the non-nerdy guests. I think that choosing to go with the elegance of Rivendell, its water and river rock elements, and the overall elegance of the elves.
I loved making the tulle twinkle light displays for the ceremony (meant to depict waterfalls), and I loved the vases we put river rocks, water, and a floating candle in. I don't have a photo of it presently, but the favors were cookies wrapped in leaves and tied with ribbon meant to bring elvish lembas bread to mind for knowing guests. It was also lucky that Adam's parents owned an engraving machine so they were able to make multiple custom signs as well as engrave the invitations and the guest book so that everything fit together seamlessly. The whole wedding was incredibly Adam + Kayla and I am so glad that I got to be a part of bringing it together!
Adam + Kayla, you two are delightful! I love you fun-loving yet grounded spirits and the ways you work off of each other. You two have a gift for loving those closest to you and for making those people smile. I wish you two the best as you two share this new adventure!

Their cake was so crazy and fun! A true blend of both Adam + Kayla (and a great way to handle things when you don't want both a bride's cake and a groom's cake!)
Kayla's maid of honor (and my sister-in-law) caught the bouquet!
