My office is a space that's slowly been coming together ever since we moved to Charleston. It's been taking time because of all the traveling we've been doing and because I've had a particular vision in my head that I want to make a reality. However, I also like to stay on a budget.
For a while now there has been a blank space above a bookshelf that I just haven't been able to figure out what to do with. I've hung a variety of pieces up and never been completely satisfied with the way it's turned out. Then I came across Nest + Burrow on Etsy. The artist behind the shop, Sarah Leea Petkus, has the most beautiful eye for detail! Her pieces somehow manage to be realistic yet whimsical and it's difficult to capture the depth of detail in a photograph - nothing I tried could quite do this piece justice.
I chose the jackalope print because it perfectly captured my sense of whimsy and the blushy peach tones of the flowers is one of my personal favorites. This piece is the perfect centerpiece for my office gallery wall! It's peaceful yet inspiring - the perfect vibes for a space where I spend a lot of time - and because of the high quality paper that it's printed on, I know that this print will last me for decades to come. The other wonderful thing about Sarah's art is that because it so perfectly brides the gap between realistic and whimsical, it will meld with my decorating styles as they continue to change and develop over the years making it the perfect type of art to invest in!
What item from Nest + Burrow's shop is your favorite?
P.S. Eventually I'll share more of my office space (like my DIY desk from IKEA), but this is the area I'm most happy with right now, so I'm waiting until the rest comes together before sharing more! :)
